Henna (Mehendi)

The art of Henna (Mehendi) goes back 5000 years. It has remained a beautiful way of espression for women and men, to show their spiritual and physical being. Henna is a temporary stain on the skin; a paste is applied over the skin which oxidiezes to produce a pale tan to a plum-brown color design on the skin, once the paste is gone. We use all natural ingredients.

Henna is a stand alone art form on its own right. Now, in modern times it has also served other purposes. For example, If you are not sure about permanent tattoos (yet) this is a great way to find out what you like, and try it out for the duration of the temporary henna application. Applied Henna may last anywhere between 1 to 4 weeks depending on the strength of the henna and the location on your body (palms and delicate skin areas like inner arms, inner wrists, and feet soles tint darker).

Pregnant? Dress up your belly with gorgeous designs with henna made out of organic materials such as henna powder, lemon juice, sugar, and eucalyptus oil.

Prepare yourself for pampering. Embellish yourself for special occasions, or just for fun. Walk-ins and appointments available.

Jagua tattooing is a temporary form of skin decoration resulting from the application of an extract of the fruit Genipa americana, also known as Jagua. This fruit has been used for body ornamentation and medicinal purposes in many areas of South America for centuries. It has only recently been introduced in North America and Europe as an addition to Henna body art.

Designs created with Jagua appear blue/black in color on the skin, and resemble a real tattoo (henna tattoos are reddish brown in color). Depending on a variety of factors, the stain on the skin lasts one to two weeks, fading gradually as the skin exfoliates.
